Very profound story, julisha. Thank you very much for posting.

"Christian Louboutins are uncomfortable, but I screamed the first time I put on a pointe shoe." Mila Kunis

The power of dance.
"Many other women have kicked higher, balanced longer, or turned faster. These are poor substitutes for passion."
Agnes de Mille

"I never said no to anything that had to do with dancing."
Annabelle Gamson

Love this story, about what dance can do to express feelings that can not be spoken and to bring the world together. Great article and great work

Great story. This is what the arts are all about! Expressing, capturing, and sharing such profound moments of the human experience. I'm definitely sharing this with my DS.

“Let us read, and let us dance; these two amusements will never do any harm to the world." - Voltaire

“Dancing in all its forms cannot be excluded from the curriculum of all noble education; dancing with the feet, with ideas, with words, and, need I add that one must also be able to dance with the pen?” - Friedrich Nietzsche

“It’s like a garden. Sometimes the daffodils will come up in spring, and we love the daffodils. But just because the roses bloom later doesn’t mean we don’t love the roses.” - Darla Hoover

This is beautiful. It reminded me of why I dance: not to be the best, but to feel at peace with the world.
