Thanks for putting up the link to the NYT review mom2 it was very interesting and I see that Red Shoes will be touring USA in the Autumn. In UK there were some out of town performances before it went to Sadler's Wells Theatre in London on 6th December.  The Gala opening night was on 15th December and it has received rave review from all the critics.  The rest of the London run is completely sold out. This production will then tour major cities in UK and I am looking forward to seeing it in March.


It may not be pure "classical" ballet, but it generates a lot of interest and raises the profile of dance among the general population. There is a wealth of information and links on the companies web site, well worth a look for anyone who is interested.  And finally, in one of the interviews Sir Matthew Bourne says how grateful he was to receive a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth earlier this year, the only choreographer to be Knighted who didn't work for the Royal Ballet Company.
