I've been doing some research for a friend of mine on Christian-based companies, just wondering if anyone knows of any more or has info that might help. So far I've found:
Ballet Magnificat (seems to be the big one) Ballet Emmanuel Paradosi Ballet Votum A David Dance Co Ad Deum-saw the thread on this one, money situation not ideal Yahweh Ballet Any help would be appreciated! -------------------- "You dance like a spatula. Are you looking for companies that pay or just companies? There are a good number of positions that are unpaid or paid through offerings of love that change from show to show based all over the country.

She needs a paid job, she is worth it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I don't think Ad Deum would even be considered, because you have to spend a year as an apprentice to be considered and she is past that point in her career.

First, thanks for starting this thread, as it's a search I'm in the process of doing myself. So thank you. Second, the only one I can think of at this point that is missing is Petra Ballet. It's a very small company as it is extremely new, but I know they are looking to grow. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks for adding that to the list, I'm looking it up right now!
Edited to add: I'm very excited, Petra is in a city adjacent to her current job. Again, thank you! -------------------- "You dance like a spatula. You wouldn't pet a cat with a spatula, why would you dance like one?"

I agree that of that list Ballet Magnificat might be the largest and most well known. A David Dance is more a student company of their own studio with a few adults dancing with them. You might look at the webpage for Project Dance, a Christian based performing opportunity in NYC, Atlanta, etc. to see if any other names pop up. Some that perform there are just church groups so you'll need to dig further but some are also performing companies.

Hello!
You might look into The Storling Dance Theater, link http://www.storlingdance.com/index.html In Kansas City. They do beautiful work. Do not know about pay but I have heard first hand that it is an amazing company with powerful productions. Good Luck! |
