It is our policy here on Ballet Talk for Dancers to make our posts as clear and as well-written as possible. Everyone makes typos now and then, and spelling errors, especially with ballet terms, are not unusual. What we DO ask is that you PLEASE write in complete sentences, use paragraphs, punctuation marks, and UPPER CASE letters where appropriate. Substituting numbers for words, or abbreviations that are not very common and known by everyone, is also considered inappropriate.

We try very hard to get our Teens to not use texting type here, and to write things out so that they are not only clear for those of us who speak English as a first language, but for our many members from around the world who speak English as a second, or even third, language!

We find it not only disconcerting, but even lacking in respect when proper names of people, places, schools, companies, and the first person singular personal pronoun are not capitalized.
