I am the mother of a 10 year old girl. She has been doing rhythmic gymnastics for 5 years now and this will be her 4th year competing. Part of her training is ballet and she has been on pointe for 4 months now. We are seriously thinking of a switching to only ballet since it is usually her ballet teachers that are crazy about her. On top of that I would really like for her to get away from RG since my DD trains 5 hours a day six days a week. This summer will be her first "only ballet" experience at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy summer intensive.

Welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers, Mniko. We are glad that you have found us, and hope that you will enjoy the discussions on our forums. :) Our forum for parents of dancers under 13 will be of special interest for you, but be sure and check out a lot of the other forums too. Don't hesitate to ask questions, as we have a lot of very experienced parents, pointe shoe experts, and teachers here to help!
