Hello all, I'm Wren. I have an almost 4 year old daughter who started ballet 4 weeks ago. I am starting my first ballet class tonight. I'm in my early twenties, any pointers?

Hello Wren, welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers!
It is great that you are starting classes yourself, as well as your daughter. It is not an easy thing to do, but strangely enough, most adults who try it, really like it! I hope that you enjoy your first class!

Hi Wren!
I'm also new here! I'm 30 years old and started ballet about a year ago, so I remember my first class very well! My best pointer, (in my limited experience!) would be to relax, have fun, and try not to compare yourself to anyone else in the class. I have found that in ballet, everyone learns in different ways and at different rates, so it's okay to make mistakes and it's okay to ask questions (teacher permitting). Have a great class!
