Hi everyone! My name is Tammie and I'm a 30 year old adult student and a military wife. After much apprehension (mostly due to fear of the uknown!), I started taking an adult beginner class about a year and a half ago. I was a fairly raw beginner, with the exception of a year of ballet classes as a 5 year old child.
Fast forward to present day, I am now taking 5 classes a week and have found a true passion for ballet! I even participated in our dance recital last month, which was so much fun!
My dance goals include learning as much as I can about ballet, improving flexability and strength, and working hard so that hopefully one day my teachers may allow me to dance en pointe. (Oh, and I would also eventually like to get my splits!)
I'm happy to be here and I look forward to contributing a little and learning a lot!

Welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers, Tammie! We are happy that you are here too, and that you have such a great passion for ballet. I think it is really wonderful that you are able to take 5 classes a week. That is excellent!

Hi! Really nice to meet you! I'm 37, and I know I'd love to find a place around here that offers super duper beginner classes. I wish I could take a class while my kids do - that would be great , b/c I can feel my rear growing as I sit 5 days a week waiting for them in a chair, LOL!
