Hi there, I am looking for a good RAD Ballet School on the Central Coast of NSW Australia?

Would love to hear your recommendations and why you think that particular school is good.

Thank you.

Depending on how far up the coast you are you could look at National College of Dance in Newcastle. I don't have any personal experience with them other than seeing some of their students but they certainly have a good reputation and track record. http://mwmdance.com/

Thank you Miss Persistent, looks fantastic but it's to far north for me.

No worries :) Maybe so that people can help with some more suggestions, could you tell us around what sort of areas are you looking at, and how far are you willing to travel?

hi there- I live just north of the central coast and I am not particularly aware of any 'good' schools on the Central Coast (my apologies if I am plain old wrong here). If you can give us some more details, I might be able to help you out. As Miss Persistent says, where are you prepared to travel too and what specifically are you after? I cant tell from your info but if you are allowed to PM me, feel free to do that.

Depending on how far north of Sydney you actually are (ie the difference between, say, Wyong, Gosford, Woy Woy) if Newcastle is too far north, then you may find your best bet is a good school or studio on the upper North Shore, such as Ecole Ballet and Dance Theatre in Turramurra. Or central Sydney as train links are good, so then Tanya Pearson's studio or Halliday's near Central (if that studio is still going?)

Hilary Kaplan bought Halliday's a number of years ago (late 90's?) and it's now called Alegria http://www.alegria.com.au/classical_ballet.php

If you do decide to come abit further up the F3 I strongly recommend Newcastle Ballet Theatre. They teach the Russian style through the Australia Conservatoire of Ballet (Christine Walsh's school in Melbourne) and specialise in ballet (no tap or hip hop) http://www.newcastleballettheatre.com.au. They have a pre-professional program with small classes.
