Advice about Ballet Teachers

Recommended Posts

Alex75

We are respectful school in Cairo Egypt since 2013. We have difficulties finding good and proper Classical ballet teachers to join us. Usually we do 1 year contracts and we have hard time to get commitment for such a period from serious ballet educators. Do you have any advice about how to get solid teachers? What to do to improve our offer beside giving them good package and being very serious and committed as employers?

Appreciate any advice
Thank you

Welcome Alex75 to Ballet Talk for Dancers. Please do go to the Welcome Forum to introduce yourself. I am sure our membership will be interested to learn a bit about running a ballet school in Cairo, Egypt!

Since Cairo might be considered a difficult place to live at this time, I can only imagine the struggle it might be to attract a qualified teacher. Are you looking for a teacher for a professional or commercial ballet school? If you are able to present high standards in your student body, a living wage and professional working condition, an adventurous person will be interested. It is however difficult to find someone who will make a long term commitment.
