My teachers tell me I have a tendency to place my arms too far behind me in second position when at barre, and exercises in center too, as well as things such as a chasse before a tourjete. *Sigh* :). They say I have the perfect arm positions, but I tend to release my ribs and my arms are behind me. What can I do to correct this, just really concentrate on bringing them forward?

This sounds like an alignment problem. If your arms are too far back, the chances are very good that your shoulders have gone back, too and don't stay over your hips. Concentrate on keeping the shoulder/hips relationship correct, and chances are, the arms will come back to the right place all by themselves. If they don't, THEN think consciously about keeping them a little forward of where you're putting them now, until it becomes a habit.
