pirouettes (sp)

Is there something wrong with my technique or is this normal?

Usually (95%) I can pull off a clean, solid double, and sometimes (75%) I can do a clean, good triple, and then there are times (like, say, after I've been practicing for two hours) I can't even make a double, in which case I panic, and discover I can't even make one pirouette? Does this to anyone else? This has never happened to me in class, so my teacher can't really help me fix it. Can someone go through the proper way (in painstaking detail) on how to do a pirouette?

If you are making solid doubles 95% of the time, and triples 75%, I would say that there is nothing wrong at all! When you have been practicing 2 hours you are probably just worn out and nothing is working right. Take a break, drink water, get something to eat, and then try again. But don't work on any one thing, using the exact same muscle groups over and over, for any major length of time! Overwork, especially on one thing, becomes counter-productive.
