Guest delightfuldancer16
For a long time now, pirouettes have been a weakness of mine. And until now I didn't what I was doing wrong, but now i do. I have trouble keeping my eyes on my spot and from looking down, and I don't releve and pull my leg underneath me. At the bar I am perfect, but I need a confidence boost. Any advice? Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted May 4, 2003 Administrators Report Share Posted May 4, 2003 First, try learning that a ballet barre is not a bar, but a barre ;) Secondly, since you know what the problems are, you are on the way to fixing them. Work separately on your spotting, and on your relevé. When you have a good center and a good position, then you add the turning power from the back muscles, and the spot, and there you are!
