Ballet Foot Stretch

I know a lot of people had questions about the Pro-Arch and the Ballet Foot Stretch and I think I might be able to give you some helpful information.

I ordered the Ballet Foot Stretch and got it in the mail April 1. I have used it everyday since then. I started out with just a little bit and went really slowly so I wouldn’t injure myself. I gradually worked up to 15 minutes of stretching on each foot everyday. Some days I do more than that, but I always try to do at least that much. I always stretch my feet out with my hands before using the Foot Stretch and I do some demi plies to stretch out my Achilles. Be sure not to put a lot of weight on your foot that you just stretched because I have found that for a minute or so after you stop stretching it can’t handle weight on it. I stretch my foot with my hand after I have finished using the Foot Stretch. It is very flexible and easy to work with. Be sure to do a strength building routine if you use this so you won’t lose strength in your feet. I do lots of releves.

If you have any more questions, I will be happy to answer them.

Here is a picture of the what my feet looked like before I used the Foot Stretch and another picture of my feet after using it for a month and a half. I anticipate a lot more improvement, but I am very pleased with my results after such a short time period. I wasn't even expecting to see any results this soon.

OK, that's one in favor of Footstretch. Keep us posted on how things work out, and remember that flexibility is one thing, but it's not much good without strength to back it up!

Also, sorry, but images posts are limited to moderators. Here's the link to the image you were trying to show:

She asked me and I told her to post it. They are good illustrations, I thought. I think it's okay, but will check with the powers above ;)

I wish I could see the pictures, alliecat! Might I ask how old you are? I don't know how significantly feet can improve after you are a certain age, but I am interested in this product. :)

Balletstar811, can you not see the photos if you click on the link at the end of alliecat's first post? It should take you right to them.

Jennifer, your link is slightly different, by one letter, however, it still works.

One should not need to type it, just click on the link in the post above or in the first post on this thread.

Copying and pasting was the only thing that worked for me, but I could definitely see a difference once I got there. I was pretty skeptical, but it your feet do look better!

Same here, Dolphingirl- I had to copy and paste and it finally worked.

I'm sorry that some of you are having difficulty seeing the pictures.

balletstar811- I am 15 and a half years old. I think I remember Major Mel saying that you can improve your feet up until your early 20's (please correct me if I'm wrong). I know I have pretty bad feet, so I figured that this was worth a try and I'm really glad I have it now.

Just remember, gang. These things are only supplements to good old day-in-day-out application while you're in class and paying all the attention you can toward working your feet yourself. They may be good, but to rely on them in preference to good old tendus, dégagés, frappés and the like isn't gonna feed the bulldog. And speaking of feed, it would be about like trying to feed yourself in the nature of all those 1950s fantasies of living exclusively on nutritional supplements like pills. By the 70s, they'd found that that wouldn't work at all - people go crazy without real material to chew on! (Thank you, space program) It's the same with ballet. The gizmos are fine if they help you, but they're not going to be a replacement for hard work!

i have naturally halfway decent feet, but without stretching my feet outside of class, the tendu work we do at barre has made them acceptably pretty feet. we spend at least 15 minutes working all types, tempos, and temperaments of tendus and jetes. i would like to try teh chacott brand footstretcher though.
