I LIVE IN SAINT LOUIS MISSOURI AND I WANT TO GO AWAY TO ANOTHER SCHOOL OUT OF STATE FOR THE SUMMER TO LEARN MORE AND HOPEFULLY GET A CHAREER IN BALLET

CAN YOU PLEASE TELL MY WHATS A GOOD BALLET SCHOOL AND MORE INFORMATION

ALSO WHAT THEY USUALLY DO AT THEIR TRYOUTS JUST TO KNOW FOR FUTURE REFRENCES

Auditions for Summer Intensive programs are held in January, February and March in major cities throughout the country. The listing for these auditions, with the dates and places, will come out in Dance and Pointe magazines in the middle of December. There are lots of excellent programs, and if you read through the Young Dancers forums you will find many of them discussed here. At the end of this summer there will be reports on each program, and you will find those on the forum called 2003 Summer Intensive Reports.

 

Auditions for all of these programs consist of a regular ballet technique class, followed by pointe work.

I know you said that you wanted to go out of state, but since it's too late for this year you might want to try a program in St. Louis for this summer. I'm not sure if you currently attend one of these schools, but it seems that there are several ballet schools in the St. Louis area. By doing a search, I have found some addresses for you.
