pmballerina
Hi this may be a pretty dumb question but I was wondering what the difference is between a Variation class and a Repetoire class? Well thanks bye:) ~Jocelyn~ Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted June 14, 2003 Administrators Report Share Posted June 14, 2003 Jocelyn, the difference is that Variations class would generally consist of solo variations, like those of the principals and soloists from the classic ballets. Repertoire class might be the same in some places, but I would consider it to be more like group sections of ballets, like the corps from Act II Swan Lake, or maybe even learning a whole one act ballet, like Les Sylphides, Paquita, etc. Quote Link to comment
