Petite_Arabesque
I recently turned 16 and I am seriously thinking about doing company auditions during the next audition season. Do you think I'm too young or is 16 a good age to start putting out my feelers, so to speak? ~*~Carmen~*~ Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
This is a kind of dicey question, because some companies are very firm about wanting you to be seriously applying for employment when auditioning, and not simply "putting out feelers". Sixteen is not too young to start a professional career, but - you'll really have to be ready to pick up an offer if it's made. Some companies hold a grudge if you turn THEM down on a job! This further means that you'll have to be able to finish school, and have the appropriate paperwork from your state Department of Labor, which issues working papers for minors in the workforce.
