classes in Pittsburgh?

Hi. I'm new.

 

I was a gymnast for 14 years, but I retired when I was 17 because I went to college and couldn't commit my every waking hour to gymnastics anymore. I always wanted to do ballet but never had the time because of gymnastics, so this summer I started taking my first "real" ballet class at age 19.

 

And I love it.

 

My question for you is if anyone knows of good adult ballet classes in the Pittsburgh area. I'm currently taking one class a week at Dance Alloy, but that's all they offer. I'd like to be able to do two classes a week at least, and hopefully work up to going on pointe someday.

Hi Hilarie,

 

I am from the Pittsburgh area. Why don't you try classes at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. They have adult ballet classes in the evening. Also Point Park College has Community College Ballet in the evening. Point park even offers 3 levels of ballet training for adults as well as point classes.
