Guest alliecat93
I recently attended an audition for a residential ballet school. I think that it went pretty well. There was one teacher giving the class and two teachers observing. Neither of the teachers looked at me much during the first part of barre, but then when we got to the balance at the end of a combination, one of the teachers looked at me. I took my hand off of the barre right away and I held a 16 count balance without wobbling AT ALL!!! And he was looking at me the whole time! I couldn't have been ahppier. After that he started paying a lot of attention to me. He kept looking at me and taking notes. I would assume that that would be a good sign, but I guess he could have been writing about how terrible I was! When we were in the center he asked me where I was from. I told him and then he wrote something down. He didn't ask anyone else where they were from nor did he ask anyone else any questions at all. I've been trying to think why he would ask where I was from. Does anyone have any ideas at all? Any guesses? I'm sorry if this is a silly question, it's just that I am so anxious to see what the results of my audition are! Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted July 24, 2003 Administrators Report Share Posted July 24, 2003 Allie, I don't about the audition you took, but when I ask a student that question, it is usually because they are a good student who shows evidence of good training, and I am always curious as to where that training is coming from Quote Link to comment
Guest alliecat93
I hope that's the reason he was asking me! Quote Link to comment
