Guest dragonfly7
My first performance since starting ballet again last year is in two days! My costume is ready, my new shoes (soft) broken in, and tomorrow we are having a final dress rehearsal. If someone told me I'd actually be performing again when I first started, I wouldn't have considered it. But now I'm actually going to do it. I once asked this forum for tips for a first performance and will now take them to heart. There's a thin line running between my nervousness and excitement, I guess that's normal. One thing, though, our "star student" who leads us in the number won't be able to make it and I have a strange feeling I might end up in front (by virtue of height - haha!). Hope I come out alive ! Guest piccolo
Dragonfly, you'll be great. Enjoy the anticipation, enjoy the dance, enjoy the exhiliration afterwards. Oh, one last piece of advice. Don't eat pasta with a red sauce while wearing your costume. Quote Link to comment
