Guest Dancergal92
I sprained my ankle very badly about 6 weeks ago. For the last few weeks I have been working on strengthening my ankle back to the way it used to be. I have been taking all of my ballet classes in regular ballet shoes, and I was wondering if you thought it would be safe to go back to pointe. I know you can't tell how strong I have got in the past few weeks, but If someone could tell me the average time one must stay away from pointe after a bad sprain. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted August 14, 2003 Administrators Report Share Posted August 14, 2003 If it feels strong and you are able to do a full technique class without pain, then you should be able to start pointe. Just go slowly at first. Quote Link to comment
