Safe to go back to pointe?

I sprained my ankle very badly about 6 weeks ago. For the last few weeks I have been working on strengthening my ankle back to the way it used to be. I have been taking all of my ballet classes in regular ballet shoes, and I was wondering if you thought it would be safe to go back to pointe. I know you can't tell how strong I have got in the past few weeks, but If someone could tell me the average time one must stay away from pointe after a bad sprain. Thanks!

If it feels strong and you are able to do a full technique class without pain, then you should be able to start pointe. Just go slowly at first. :D
