Guest JRSDANCER87
Hello! I was just wondering if you can get shin splints on the outside of each of your legs, from your outer ankle to the outer part of your knee, near the calf mucsle? Does anyone know what that pain is caused from if it's not shin splints? Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
That doesn't sound like shin splints. It could be any of a number of things, some pretty harmless, some pretty bad. Apply first aid (R.I.C.E.), and if that doesn't give relief in three days, go to the doctor. Quote Link to comment
Guest JRSDANCER87
Thanks, Mr. Johnson. I've been just applying ice a lot, and wrapping them. They are actually feeling better today then they were yesterday, so It might just be strain from overwork, many petite allegros in the class I took yesterday! Thanks for your help. Mel Johnson
That sounds about right. Keep up what you're doing, and put your legs up from time to time. Just on a hassock, please, not straight up the wall! You should continue getting relief as the body repairs itself. If it flares up again, and you can't figure out a reason, let us know. Guest JRSDANCER87
Okay I will, Mr. Johnson. I start a workshop where I'll be dancing from 9-4 every day on Monday, so I'm just going to relax until then. I had an occurance of popping/painful hip issues in class the day before, so I think I'm just tired and need a little rest :-) Quote Link to comment
