Guest pavlovadancer
I've always walked turned out with my weight back ever since I started ballet. Is it really true that it increases vulnerability to injury? I'm rather attached to walking like that you know... It's so much easier than to talk normally. My friend sent me this article, http://dancespirit.com/backissues/june02/d...ancerbody.shtml about this.... Oh dear. Do I really have to start walking normally? It feels terribly werid! Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted August 23, 2003 Administrators Report Share Posted August 23, 2003 pavlovadancer, I have not read the article, however, I will say that walking somewhat turned out is not at all unusual for a dancer! Afterall, they spend their whole life working on better rotation. However, walking with the weight back in the heels is not a good idea. I would try to correct that, if I were you!
