Guest Kitri328
Hi! I'm getting ready to graduate from high school this year and I was wondering what company auditions are like. I have been to summer intensives...are the auditions like the summer intensive auditions? What all is required for most company auditions? Any help would be very appreciated! I'm clueless as to how this works! Thanks! Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted December 8, 2003 Administrators Report Share Posted December 8, 2003 Kitri, generally it is a class, similar to SI auditions EXCEPT that there may be cuts before the class is over. There are often a huge number of people auditioning, and they are likely to cut after the barre, and then maybe again after one or two things in the center. Link to comment
Mel Johnson
And sometimes, auditioning for a company can be something as easy as being asked to attend company class. They'll have you for a while, and finally, you get called into the office either to hear that you're invited to join the company, or to hear that they're "not hiring now". A lot depends on the general contract that the company has with the union, and the general health of its exchequer. Link to comment
