dancepig
Yoga Toes Has anyone tried the Yoga Toes? I'm curious about if they really do anything, I would like to try them, but at $50.00+ I would like to hear your opinion first. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Xena
dancepig, i hadn't actually heard of these until now, I looked them up and well I guess they look a bit bizarre, on this webpage though http://www.dancedistributors.com/index.cfm...detail&pln=3916 you can get them for $38. Although I don't see how different they would be from taking your own toes in your hand and spreading them apart and massaging them. I always use those wooden foot rollers which cost a few dollars and get great results... Anyone ever used them apart from Karin Ellis-Wentz? Jeanette Quote Link to comment
dancepig
Thanks for the info and website, that's much cheaper than the other website! I have to admit, after watching the video provided on the YogaPro website, they look kind of stupid! Although they look like they might provide some form of massage relief! Quote Link to comment
elise
My guess is a simple pedicure toe spreader would do the same thing! Quote Link to comment
Xena
Yes Elise, I thought exactly the same thing last night, when I was painting my nails. much cheaper Quote Link to comment
dancepig
It looks like it is almost the same thing? At first glance, this thing looked like something that would actually help strengthen the feet, but after a closer look I guess it's back to the therabands! Quote Link to comment
Tiffany
I heard once that someone had gotten the yoga toes from a physical therapist for much cheaper, about $12. However, I don't know how well they work, and all of your suggestions might be just as useful! Quote Link to comment
elise
That would possibly be the only time I've heard of something being cheaper from a therapist. My mother is recovering from a stroke and her occupational therapy toys are outrageously expensive, things I am sure you can find for a fraction of the price at Toys R Us. Quote Link to comment
Tiffany
elise, next time your mom needs a new 'toy', ask her what it will look like and take a stroll through Toys R Us! I hope that her recovery is progressing well. Quote Link to comment
elise
Yeah she's doing quite well now, in fact the affected arm is now getting stronger than her unaffected arm. One of her toys was a ball on a stick that if she lost it or broke it they told her it'd cost $70 to replace. A nerf ball on a plastic stick! Quote Link to comment
Tiffany
So I guess NO ONE has actually tried yoga toes......maybe its the price?? Nerf ball attached to stick--sounds like a great kids toy to me!! Quote Link to comment
dancepig
I would say it's the price, plus, as everyone has pointed out (no pun intended), it looks as though a pedicure toe thing would do the same thing. However, never having actually seen one, I'm still curious, but I will have to pass, especially after watching the "movie" provided at the website. Quote Link to comment
