GretchenStar
Something in my foot/ankle has been bothering me- not chronically, but occasionally, especially if I wear dead pointe shoes (probably overstretching). Also happens if I wear shoes with heels (not a problem with sneakers). You know when you flex your foot, there are those two areas at the front of the ankle that stick out? I think they're tendons (one goes toward the big toe side, the other/smaller one goes towards the outside of the foot). The day after I "overstretch" in class, or wear heels, the smaller tendon (towards the outside of the foot) feels sore and gets irritated just by walking. Is this, in fact, a tendon, and if it is, what is the name of it? Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Are you perhaps thinking of the anterior talo-fibular ligament? Quote Link to comment
