ConstanzaElisabeth
Some colleges have resident companies attached, like Utah Ballet at Univ. of Utah. Would being in a company like this be similar to apprenticing a professional company? What effect would it have on getting a job after college? Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted April 4, 2004 Administrators Report Share Posted April 4, 2004 Constanza, I think it will vary according to the program and the company, but most college companies do not have an affiliation with a professional company, so it's probably not a direct link at all. ConstanzaElisabeth
What about the experience of a college company in relation to an apprenticeship? Link to comment
Mel Johnson
It's quite different in form and content, and for another thing, an apprenticeship pays you, not you pay the college. A successful college company record can work for you in employment, but not the same way as an apprenticeship. Link to comment
