Guest petiteanise
I've asked for help before about a fellow student in class who likes to criticize everything I do, by criticize I mean she corrects everything, things that don't need correcting! She likes to talk about you as you go across the floor (its diificult to concentrate on anything when out of the corner of your eye shes whispering to another girl and darting vicous glances at you) Several other girls and I (all of the ballet V class) have talked to the head instructor about her behavior and the tension felt in class. She said that she had reprimanded this student several times but all it does is make matters worse, she said she doesn't want to dismiss the student because it would make the academy look bad. Several parents have actually talked about leaving! becuase of this student and the students mother who likes to gossip about us behind our backs. The head instructor said that she had no idea what to do, if we had an idea of what might help to run it by her. I haven't an idea but I was kinda counting on some teachers replying about what they do with troublesome students? Link to comment
Mel Johnson
OK, since there's more than one of you and it's cutting across student lines into the parents, the matter is already making the school "look bad". You, all of you, in a body, have to let the teacher know, "either she goes, or we go". And be prepared with your landing zone when the time comes to bail out. I've thrown disruptive students out of a school before. It's not pleasant, and you make at least three enemies that way. Maybe you could all generously provide a little "starter fund" to encourage your "friend" to go to elsewhere? Link to comment
