I have a bit of a problem. When I lift my leg to the front, side, or back in developpes, I have a very hard time getting my leg up high and holding it there. I am flexible--my grande battements are of good height, and I am able to do splits, foot-in-hand stretch, etc.--but it seems that developpes are my worst enemy!! Does anyone have any tips? :pinch:

Thanks

If the flexibility in grand battements is there, then the strength will come for the developpés. It may take a bit longer, often somewhere between 14-16 years old. Just keep working!

When you do your grands battements, take it quick on the UP and slow on the DOOWWWNNN.
