Guest dirtyprettyboy
Is it stupid for me a guy who is 16 and just starting to even think to go pro? Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
It is certainly not out of the question. You will, of course, require the very best training that you can find, and a great deal of hard work, not to mention that little item called talent. Some disciplines have a greater range of what constitutes an acceptable employable dancer. Ballet is one of the tightest fields in this regard. However, males are still at somewhat of a premium, although the gap which existed during my youth has narrowed considerably. Yes, you may indeed consider dance an open avenue of employment at this stage of your life. Quote Link to comment
Guest carla_rg
It is not impossible if you REALLY want to make it, I think.... Remember that Rudolf Nureyev was about 13 when he started to dance Quote Link to comment
