LittleSeaShelb
When doing Youth America Grand Prix, there are many variations to choose from and it is very hard to know what all of them include. I was told to select 3 or 4 variations I liked and my teacher would help me decide which one to learn but I don't know much about any of the variations. Would anyone know which variations would be good for a jumper and turner? I need to chose soon. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
born2bprima
Haha! Alot! How about the first variation in Paquita with the entrechat six? Or, Esmerelda for a turner...or, or, or, haha the options are endless Quote Link to comment
ddm3
I think Gamzatti would be a good choice. Quote Link to comment
joyofaleap
Take a look at La Fille Mal Gardee variations. Good luck. Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted December 16, 2005 Administrators Report Share Posted December 16, 2005 You need to look at as many ballets as possible. I would start with Paquita. Quote Link to comment
mohnurka
Looking at videos of the different variations can be a great help. Perhaps you can buy some, or borrow a friend's, ask your teacher for videos, go to the library, etc. Quote Link to comment
dance_through_life
At my studio our teachers pick the solos for the students based on their strengths. Maybe you could ask your teachers for suggestions since they have so much more experience. Quote Link to comment
