Ballet Class Music

Hey, I have a question about buying CDs for a ballet class.

I like to practice on my own (at my home) a lot. I have a ballet barre and a lot of space, but I'm missing one thing - music. I have tried getting music like Tchaikovsky and Mozart, but it is hard to warm-up to those. I was wondering if any of you know of any websites that sells ballet warm-up music. My ballet instructors have CDs that tell exactly what each particular track can be used for and I was interested in something like that. Anyway, if any of you knew of any place (preferably online) that I could purchase some of this music, I would be much appreciative. Thanks!!

And if I may make so bold, they also sell ballet class music at amazon.com through the banner located at the top of this page. The board gets a small "finder's fee" for everything bought from Amazon through that banner, so shop early and often at Amazon via Ballet Talk!

I don't know how anyone feels about this, but a lot of times you don't really even need ballet music to do it. When I practice at home sometimes I'll just put on a song from whatever band I feel like hearing, I just make sure it's a good tempo. I think it's good because it's something you really like, and for me sometimes it makes me get into the dancing more. My friend's teacher sometimes brings in stuff like Led Zepellin to class, too!

Yeah, I've done that before. But even then, it's sometimes hard to find a song for exact what technique you're trying to work on. I figured hey, if I can find a CD that is devoted to that stuff, then that'd be great.
