ABT Wannabe
I know that college is very far ahead of me...but I would like to know some information about some dance colleges. I really would like to go to a college where it is mostly Classical Ballet...not Modern Ballet focused. Also, I would like to go to a college where the dancers do not have to be VERY VERY tall, and I would like a major in dance!! Does anyone know of any colleges fitting this description?? xoxo Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Your best starting place for this is the Dance Magazine Guide to Colleges and Universities. It comes out annually, and may be available at your library. You can buy your own copy when it gets closer to decision time. Knowing height preferences now won't help very much. Those can change even from semester to semester. Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted May 27, 2004 Administrators Report Share Posted May 27, 2004 Some of the schools known for good ballet programs are, in no particular order: University of Oklahoma, University of South Florida, Indiana University, Butler, Southern Methodist University, State University of NY at Purchase, and the University of Utah.
