Guest baby_carrot
Our school show is in approximately one week, and my teacher seems to be getting really stressed out. I am trying my best to focus, but I'm SO paranoid that I might do something wrong and he will completely remove pieces of the show that I'm in. (He keeps doing that to other girls). I know he's probably just stressed, I just feel like he's very angry with our class and that's never a good feeling. We are doing a "class demonstration," on stage where we will be doing barre work, a waltz, turns, small/big jumps, etc. I am also afraid that I might wear out on stage and not be able to perform well. Our dance is turning out to be very long, and it could be really awesome...but what can I do to calm down, and help my teacher? AH!!!! ~Sorry, I'm just a little scared. Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted May 28, 2004 Administrators Report Share Posted May 28, 2004 This is normal, baby carrot....both your stress and your teachers! The first step is to recognize that he is not mean, just stressed, which you have done. Second step, just stay very concentrated and focused on your work and do it the best you can every time, with a VERY positive attitude! This will be the best thing for both of you. The better rehearsed you are, the more confidence you will have on stage, and the more confidence you have, the better you will dance! Link to comment
