Guest dancinabbs
This is what classes I'm taking next year. I'm 13 (will be 14) and this is all the classes available for my level besides jazz. I think this is also what everyone else in my level is taking and I'm one of the youngest (if not the youngets) and the oldest in our level are like 16 or 17. So what do you think? Too much or too little? Monday: Hip-Hop (5:30-7:00), Modern (7:15-8:45) Tuesday: Ballet (6:30-8:00), Pointe/Variations (8:00-8:30) Wednesday: Advanced Ballet class for about 2 hours, or so (not sure yet) Thursday: Ballet (6:30-8:00), Pointe/Pas de deux (8:00-9:00) Friday: Master class or rehearsal Saturday: Ballet (11:30-1:00) And that's not including all the rehearsals we have. Thanks for any advice. Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted May 30, 2004 Administrators Report Share Posted May 30, 2004 Sounds good except that I would much prefer another ballet class on Monday instead of hip hop. Quote Link to comment
Guest fouette8O9
I think that sounds good cause i'm 13 too and dance six days a week Quote Link to comment
pigtailgirl
Yes, I don't know about the hip hop on Mondays. If your considering ballet seriously for a career, you might want to change it to ballet? Hiphop probably wont help much in ballet technique Quote Link to comment
Dolphingirl
The problem is that due to studio space and teacher availability, Monday is a day when it is not possible to schedule a ballet class for our level. There are lower level classes on that day, one that is two levels below us, and one that is three, but I don't know whether the timing makes it possible to take those classes. Quote Link to comment
dancer31220
That schedule sounds great to me! I am 13 too and am hoping I get a schedule for 5 or 6 days a week. My letter just hasn't come yet. I do agree with pigtailgirl that hiphop probably won't benefit your ballet technique, but other than that I say go for it! Quote Link to comment
Guest dancinabbs
Yea, as dolphingirl said, there is no ballet class available besides the levels 2 and 3 levels below us, so... And I've never done hip-hop before and want to do one class more for fun. But thanks everyone! Quote Link to comment
