Swiss_Chard
The elastics on my ballet slippers have become too loose and aren't doing much of anything. Should I just cut them off and sew them on tighter or is there a better way? Quote Link to comment
Jaana Heino
In my opinion, you should cut/pick/rip (sorry, don't know the correct English word for taking pieces of clothing apart) the elastics off the shoes, take completely new elastics, and sew that on. Sewing the worn-out elastics on tighter only forces you to do it again soon, when it gets even more worn out or rips. You can use any elastics of a suitable width that you can buy from a regular store, no need to use some fancy ballet specific one. Quote Link to comment
Swiss_Chard
Thank you. I have some left over elastic from when I bought the shoes and I think it will be long enough. Quote Link to comment
