I found this video of Alessandra Ferri doing a pas de deux from Carmen. It almost made me cry.........The music was so beautiful. Note: if you click on bas-debit instead of haute-debit, its not as choppy.

As a side note - a little French lesson. When picking which video to watch (haut-debit or bas-debit) think of port de bras. En haut is over your head, which means its high quality and recommended for broadband-like access. En bas is your arms lowered, which means lower quality and recommended for dial-up.

 

Sorry about that, I take French at school and I just love picking out the differences between ballet steps and the literal meanings.

I think the piece is called Entr'acte by Georges Bizet. I've played the flute since I was 11, and that has been one of my favorites for ages, because you have to basically breathe your soul into it in order to stay in tune and to make it sound musical.

 

The dance fits the song perfectly. I love it. I wish I could dance like that someday. That was gorgeous. Thanks for posting it.

Wow, that was a gorgeous video! I absolutely love Alessandra Ferri, and I think she was beautiful in that piece. The music is so pretty! I enjoyed watching it.

I just watched this today and it was amazing. It's also very good quality so you can see every movement which is nice. I absolutely loved it. It just goes to prove that you don't need costumes or sets for ballet to be so beautiful and amazing.

Oh, and I definately don't know what the website says at all, but from looking at "Laurent Hilaire (Danseur étoile de l’Opéra de Paris)" I'm guessing the guy is Laurent Hilaire who dances with the Paris Opera Ballet? Does anyone know much about him?

"Laurent Hilaire (Danseur étoile de l’Opéra de Paris)" The man's name is Laurent Hilaire and he is the star dancer at the Paris Opera (Ballet).

Sorry but I do not know anything about him, just French from school.

Do you have high (haut in French) speed internet service?? If so, click on Haut debit, if not, click on Bas (low) debit. It should work if you choose the proper format for your computer.

i tried both/ it says rm file is not something that quicktime understands; does that mean i need a quicktime upgrade?

You could need an upgrade. I have version 5.2.0, & it works fine.

Have you tried viewing it from another computer?
