Guest happycc
Brandon got into Contra Costa Ballet summer class in Walnut Creek, CA. Twice a week from 4:45 -6:15pm for 6 weeks. I am excited for him. Does anyone know about this program? Carolyn Quote Link to comment
BW
Carolyn, click on this link in the Summer Intensive forum: Contra Costa and you can ask your questions there if they're about their SI. By the way, congratulations to your son! If you're interested in Contra Costa as a year round program, you might want to do a search - see the:sticky" above to learn how to use this function. CAdancer
Knock Knock Sorry, I know I'm not supposed to post here but they have a website where you can learn a lot about the school and program; http://www.contracostaballet.org Quote Link to comment
Guest happycc
Oh wow-I read your except about CCB. I would love to talk to you further. Another dancer in EBay. I take it you are a female from your post in the summer intensive. I am confused about the summer intensive. Is that only level 6 and up? They have it down as summer intensive for level 1-and up. My son is only level 2 so I don't think it is summer intensive even though on the website it is under summer intensive. So confusing. I am so thrilled they give 50% off for boys!!! Redstorm
Hi Carolyn! I am another parent of an East Bay dancer. My daughter is 12 going on 13. She dances at a studio very near CC Ballet. Are you new to the East Bay or just new to ballet? I don't know a whole lot about CCB, but I do know that one of my daughters teachers is the brother of a CCB teacher. They are Russian and very good. (at least the one who teaches at my daughters school) I don't know the other teacher personally. My daughter had a friend attend there for a while but last I heard she left and I don't know where she ended up. They were constantly changing schools anyway, so I don't think it had to do with the training. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. As I said, I don't know a whole lot about CCB, but I am very familiar with other schools in the area. We just went through some changes in training and I put quite a bit of research into finding the right school. Good luck to your son! Quote Link to comment
BW
Knock, knock: Carolyn, if you could let ue know if you are interested in learning about this program for their year round program, then we could move this thread into Cross Talk so that more people will see it and respond, rather than leaving it in this forum...since we're already getting comments from folks other than "parents of boys". Redstorm
oops Sorry BW. I wasn't paying attention. Quote Link to comment
BW
No, no, Redstorm! I don't think there are any rules that state that parents of girls cannot post in this forum. I just wanted to find out what exactly Carolyn was after. Quote Link to comment
Guest happycc
I guess I am trying to find out what CCB is like for boys attending there. But it would be good to meet others who live this way......Is there a way I can post my email so people can email me personally off the board and I can state exactly what city and dance studio we attend.
