Pointing my foot

I just read on the post about cramping arches that it could be caused by cramping the toes. I was wondering when I point me foot, for instance in tendu, where should I feel a stretch? And I think my cramping arches may be caused from putting too much tension in my toes. Should I just try and relax them? When I point my foot I feel tension along the inside all the way through my toes, should I try and not let this happen?

When you point your foot there is always some tension, however there should be no gripping or curling of the toes. The energy to point the foot should come from the center of the body all the way down the leg.
