chauffeur
Columbus Dance Theatre (614-849-0227) teaches RAD primarily with some Cechetti in its pre-pro program; they also have very good modern instruction. Irveline Evans (614-889-0106) runs a very small studio that is primarily Vaganova, though she also is excellent at teaching students how all the different methods do things. Feel free to PM if you have any questions about other schools I have not included. Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Ballet Alert's position is that it does not recommend any school or company over another, but individuals may certainly post "consumer reports" as a matter of personal experience. Quote Link to comment
chauffeur
by any chance, dance24/7, were you at Irveline's tonight? If so, my daughter said you were great. I could only see arms on occasion from the waiting area, but they looked very graceful! Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted August 25, 2004 Administrators Report Share Posted August 25, 2004 Just a reminder, chauffeur....this is the Young Dancers' 13-16 board. Quote Link to comment
chauffeur
Sorry for the intrusion, but can you please clarify the guidelines for me? You seemed appreciative when I posted information about swimming on a previous thread, but now I'm violating rules by responding to a question posted here? I'm confused. Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted August 25, 2004 Administrators Report Share Posted August 25, 2004 Sorry, didn't mean to confuse you, chauffeur Basically, the rules are no adults except moderators on the Young Dancers' forums. However, once in a while there is information available that we feel is valuable and we will leave it there and even state our appreciation. When one does this, however, we ask that you at least do a "knock, knock", or better even, send one of us a message asking about posting your information, or asking us to post it for you. The reason for this is that if everyone posts on YD, which is primarily supposed to be questions about technique, classes, and performanc issues, that would become very confusing. It was established from the beginning that YD questions should be answered only by teacher moderators. That said, sometimes others do have some relevant or important information, and we do appreciate that. Quote Link to comment
