Books: On Choreography

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for some books on choreography. Right now i'm reading "The Intimate Act of Choreography". This is all for an Independent Study Mentorship thing I'm doing and my topic of study this semester is choreography (if you couldn't tell). I need peer-reviewed and professional quality sources (wording of my coordinator). So I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions.

The ones I have already looked up:

Research in Dance Education (peer-reviewed journal)

Interdisciplinary Humanities (peer-reviewed journal)

Intimate Act of Choreography (book)

Thanks in advance!

A classic on the subject, with applicability across disciplinary lines (ballet, modern and others) is Doris Humphrey's The Art of Making Dances.
