My Male Dancer Surveys

Last winter, I created two polls about male ballet dancers on Mr. Poll. The first one is a general one for everyone: dancers, nondancers, parents, brothers, and sisters.

The other one is strictly for male ballet dancers.

If you've already answered the polls, you might be interested in checking out the results and comments. If you haven't taken the polls yet, please do so.

 

Many people have suggested changes to the second poll and I've tried to add their ideas into it. So, if you took the second poll when it first came out, feel free to answer any question you haven't answered before, but in order to keep the poll as accurate as possible, don't repeat answers you've already given.

 

I plan to analyze the results and try to come to some conclusions for a term paper this year, so if you notice anything interesting, feel free post your comments.

Much better than they used to be, Spinner. I can't remember how I answered the previous ones, but these questions are better and show real thought in improving the quality of the poll. Last time, I had a lot of "none of the above".

OMG I am so sorry! I totally forgot those people who guide us and train us to be better dancers. If you check back, you'll notice that categories for teachers have been added to both polls.

I had wondered about that myself, but just considered teachers as "professionals".

 

We really are a separate consideration, however.

I took the one for parents, but I remember leaving a lot of questions blank as they did not relate to me as a parent. Can my son take the one for male dancers? He's 10. Does he count?

Loved your poll!!!!! Very well put together. But on the one about other types of dance, you forgot to mention tap and lyrical (which i both take and enjoy thouroghly). Good Job!!!!

If he dances, he counts. Many of the questions might be over his head, but with your help, his answers will help us understand the mind of a young male dancer.

I can't believe how many obvious things I left out of the poll, like tap dance. Thanks for bringing them to my attention.

Which one? The poll one or the ballet one? Neither of them have anything for me. Maybe it was just a one-off thing? I believe that the other website is powered by the same one this one is... I'm not sure though. If that one did wouldn't this one too?

I think that somebody's probably hacked the misterpoll site. Poll sites are a hacker's playground, where they can mess up other people's machines, just because they can.
