Guest primarina88
ok, i really need soem help with this. For some reason I just can't do petite allegro. I understand what im supposed to do but my body just doesnt do what i tell it to. I've been dancing for years and no matter what i do i can seem to improve. My teacher says that u have to kno the combo before u can do it becuase its too fast to follow, but i kno it. Im ususally the first one to get the steps but i can never seem to execute them correctly, well, and sometimes even at all. I would really appreciate a few pointers or tricks/tips for mastering petite allegro becuase i feel like it's one of the things that holds me back, especially at auditons. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! thanx Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted September 28, 2004 Administrators Report Share Posted September 28, 2004 Hello primarina, welcome to the Young Dancers' forum here on Ballet Talk for Dancers! Petite allegro, as you know, involves fast feet, good ballon, and a very quick mind! And, your teacher is right, first you have to know and understand the combination. After that, there is really no answer except practice. Take it home, write it down, work on it step by step, and then when you get back to the studio put it together and hopefully it will improve. I hope that your teacher repeats these combinations, so that you have a chance to work on them and improve them! PS - We don't use teenspeak or computereeze here on Ballet Talk. Please write out the words, so that all of our posters from around the world who speak English as a second language, will understand your posts. Link to comment
