Swanilda
This is mainly addressed to those in professional companies and our moderators. My company generally rehearses several hours a day after class on pointe. No one ever takes their shoes off...yet by hour three or so, a lot of girls are no longer going onto pointe unless they have to, and people start to mark things. Isn't it more logical to perhaps switch to ballet shoes but keep going full out? Is this just a company quirk or is it general? Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted October 20, 2004 Administrators Report Share Posted October 20, 2004 It sounds to me like the pointe strength is not good enough in this company, Swanhilda. They should not be marking rehearsals, and they should be dancing on pointe in all of them. Changing shoes, unless they are injured, is not a good idea. Link to comment
Swanilda
Thanks. This is our first week of rehearsals, so I'm hoping things may get better! Link to comment
