Guest annieh
What does it mean to have a "flat Rotation"? Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Annie, welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers here at Ballet Alert! Online! "Flat rotation" means complete 180-degree turnout of the femurs in the hipjoints (90 each). It produces "flat turnout" or a completely straight first position without any rolling of the feet inward. Only 2 or 3 percent of the population have it naturally, and the rest of us have to make the best we can out of what we've got! Quote Link to comment
