Mel Johnson
It used to be that all a boy had to do was show up and be able to fog a mirror. Now, you have to audition, and be pretty good. Quote Link to comment

Ed McPherson
some programs still have a general policy of giving proficent boys full scholarships. Ballet Austin is one of them. I've also heard that PNB has a lot of money in the summer for men. Quote Link to comment
dancetaxi
*knock Knock* I'm a mom of a boy too young to post, so feel free to delete if necessary. It depends on funding for the SI you want to go to. My son's current school did not offer a scholarship to their year-round school or their SI because of lack of funds. He has however, recieved scholarships in the past at other schools and SI's based on merit. I have heard that on some SI applications there is a box to check if you will be needing financial aid. Apparently checking this box has no effect on whether or not you are considered for acceptance. If you don't qualify for financial aid, there are many, many schools that offer merit scholarships. In my limited experience there seems to be a little more in the funding category for boys especially, as Mel said, if you are pretty good. Good luck! Dancetaxi Quote Link to comment
