Dancing on my toes
I have noticed that sometimes if we are asked to do a combination immediately again en pointe that when I am up en pointe I get tired and don't pointe my feet to their full potential. This mostly happens in sous-sus and echapes if they are repeated many times. Is this just me being lazy of what? Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted December 18, 2004 Administrators Report Share Posted December 18, 2004 It's not being lazy if you just don't have the strength to do that much. Perhaps the exercises are a bit too much at once for your strength right now. Or, the teacher is more likely trying to build your strength. If you are trying your best and working as hard as you can, then that is not being lazy. Quote Link to comment
Dancing on my toes
I also don't have very high arches or insteps or flexible ankles, could this also be a reason why when I get tired I don't pointe my feet all the way? Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Yes, those could be contributing factors. Quote Link to comment
