Classes in Houtson, TX

My sister-in-law informed me yesterday she's thinking of starting adult ballet classes. She's an absolute beginner. Any recommendations on good classes for her in the Houston? She lives in the Kingwood area and would prefer to stay local.

American Academy of Dance is in Spring which is usually less than 30 minutes from Texas. I highly recommend their adult classes. Last semester they started a beginner class which really started at the beginning. Point vs. Flex, what is plie, each position, etc.

 

If they continue running this class I recommend it. They have 3 adult classes per week, although 1 or 2 are intermediate/advanced. The instructor, Ms. Durine, is great about tailoring to individuals who are in each class.

 

Houston Ballet, downtown, also offers adult ballet classes.
