Jazz class clothing

Sorry for the off-topicity, but I didn't know where else to ask. What do guys wear to jazz class? I'm trying out my first jazz class tomorrow, and only have ballet duds.

Jazz shoes or jazz sneakers are pretty much essentials. After that, Jazz pants are good, a top that allows you to move freely, it's a pretty free-form "uniform", usually. See what the rest of the people wear in the class you attend.

You can even wear some jazz pants to ballet class if you buy a pair with straight legs so it might be worth buying some.

My experience is that you can wear anything to a jazz class. It’s not uncommon for people to wear their ballet duds if you are just beginning or don’t take jazz class regularly.

 

When I took jazz class regularly I wore jazz pants and jazz shoes, both of which I liked. Whenever I forgot my shoes (which was more often than not) I’d just wear my ballet slippers, which were always in my bag.

Thanks guys. I just wore my ballet clothes with some sweats, and my ballet slippers, and everyone there knows me already, too. Jazz is a lot of fun, and I have to find a way to do it more often.
