I'd like to thank whoever made up this website/board because it is really helpful -- escpecially durring audition season! (if i do anything against the rules please let me know.. i'm pretty new at this)

Hello, i dance in uggs, welcome to the Young Dancers' forum here on Ballet Talk for Dancers.

I think you will find this board quite different, in that it is really not a message or chat board, but actually a discussion board. When you ask a question here, for instance, you will not receive advice or answers from young teens, it will come from professional teachers. Teens may, of course, add their stories, or anecdotes, following the teachers' response. There are also forums for discussions of Pointe Shoes and for Health and Nutrition issues. Cross Talk is open for teens as well as parents, adult dancers, and teachers. So, lots to do and lots to learn here!

I used to use Pointe Magazine Message Board too, I think you will find that these boards inform you alot more, as Ms. Leigh said...I prefer these boards. I have also been to dance.net message boards, but those aren't just ballet...well hope you like it here, I sure do! You will find lots of information here from ballet teachers, parents, current dancers, past dancers....etc. See you around the forums!:)

i used to be a member for pointe message board too! however, it closed...or something  , but i do like this board as it is much more organized

just wondering, does anyone know when pointe message board will be back up?

I am a member on all three boards, but this board in my opinion is the best. On this board there are professionals to help us not just people throwing out there opinions. The other boards are fun to chat with friends but this is the best to get good solid information.

I am a member of all three boards too.I really don't like Pointe that much,it is a slow board.Between DDN and BT though,it really depends. Both have their pros and cons.

What is DDN? And, would you like to elaborate on the "cons" of BT? It's okay to say so if there is something you don't like. I won't guarantee that it will change, but, who knows? If there is something that would make it better, I would be happy to know about it.

I like both boards, and dance.net. The correct information on this board helps me distinguish between what's correct and incorrect on the other boards, because lots of people just post their opinions and guesses on pointemagazine and dance.net. Without this board, I would be so confused! I've learned a lot from Ballet Talk! AND the organization can definately be a breath of fresh air from dance.net, especially.

Thank you, dancer522. It is important to us that you are here to learn, and not just chat
