Guest devion101
Hey guys! I have taken about two and a half months off classical ballet - I've been dancing with a contemporary company - for health reasons, i.e. Achilles tendonitis and an eating disorder. I miss it sooo much though, and it is still a huge passion of mine. I want to be a professional dancer, not necessarily ballet, but maybe contemporary ballet or something... . Anyway, I'm going to get back into classes at my old studio *half shudders* and PNB open classes. It's going to be hard - I've lost some of my extension and turns! Do you have any tips - I know it's kind of redundant - for regaining extension strength and turns? Thanks so much! I'll keep an update of how the return to ballet is going! Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted January 9, 2005 Administrators Report Share Posted January 9, 2005 Hello devion, welcome back I think that everything will come back as you get into regular classes. It may take a bit of time, but probably not that long. The classes themselves are designed to do that, so, patience is the keyword. And, it's not like you are out of shape and have not been dancing at all, so it really won't be that difficult. Quote Link to comment
